One supplier for every opening
Origin covers bifold, French and single doors, sliding doors, casement and tilt and turn windows, front and garage doors and internal doors. That means one finish and one guarantee across the whole house, and one team at Vitrum Solutions handling the survey, supply and installation.
Slim frames and tested security
The OB-36+ has a 36 mm sash and reaches 0.78 W/m²K with triple glazing. The OS-29+ slider has a 29 mm interlock and the same 0.78 W/m²K. The OB-36+, OF-36+, OB-49, OB-72, OS-29+, OW-70, OW-80 and tilt and turn windows are tested to PAS 24:2022, the current edition of the UK security standard, and the OW-70 and OW-80 windows also carry Secured by Design.
Soho, Gallery and Georgian styles
The OB-36+ comes in three design styles. Soho adds a traditional lock block and integral glazing divides, so a slim aluminium door reads like a steel-framed one: the look many clients ask us for in kitchen extensions and period homes.
Finishes to match any scheme
Popular finishes include Jet Black, Textured Black, Anthracite Grey, Black Grey and Hipca White, with more than 150 RAL colours, dual colour, woodgrain on selected systems and a marine-grade finish for coastal homes. Origin's powder coating is Qualicoat accredited.
An accredited British manufacturer
Origin was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. It holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BES 6001 and Qualicoat accreditation, and received The Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2020.

Origin: Frequently Asked Questions
What is Origin?
Origin is a British aluminium door and window company, founded in 2002 and headquartered in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Its range covers bifold, French and single doors, sliding doors, windows, front and garage doors and internal doors. Origin holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BES 6001 and Qualicoat accreditation and received The Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade in 2020.
Which Origin products do you install?
The full range. External doors: OB-36+ (Soho, Gallery and Georgian styles), OF-36+, OB-49 and OB-72, as bifold, French, single and corner doors. Sliding doors: OS-29+, OS-29, OS-44 and OS-77. Windows: OW-70 Slimline, OW-80 Premium, tilt and turn and bifold windows. Front doors and garage doors in Origin's Kensington and Sandringham designs. Internal doors: the OI-30.
Is Vitrum Solutions an approved Origin installer?
Yes. Vitrum Solutions is an Origin Approved Partner. We survey your openings, specify the right Origin system, order it and install it, and every installation is FENSA registered with our 10-year CPA insurance-backed guarantee.
How does Origin compare with Cortizo and Schuco?
All three are premium aluminium. We fabricate Cortizo and Schuco ourselves in our Uxbridge workshop; Origin is made by Origin and installed by us as an Approved Partner. Origin's strengths are the 36 mm OB-36+ and its Soho styling, the OS-29+ slider with flush stacking, a complete matching range from front door to windows, and a guarantee of up to 20 years on parts. Cortizo and Schuco are our choice for lift-and-slide doors and their own slim systems. We set out the options in your quote.
Are Origin doors and windows secure?
The OB-36+, OF-36+, OB-49, OB-72, OS-29+, OW-70, OW-80 and tilt and turn windows are tested to PAS 24:2022. The OS-29, OS-77 and Origin's front doors hold PAS 24:2016. The OW-70, OW-80, OB-49 and OB-72 (under 2,500 mm tall) and Origin's front doors carry Secured by Design. Origin's PAS 24 certification applies with a P1A laminated glass unit, which we specify whenever you need it. The OS-44 slider is not PAS 24 rated, so we recommend the OS-29+ where security certification matters.
What guarantee comes with Origin?
Origin gives up to a 20-year guarantee on parts, depending on the product and where it is installed (Origin's terms apply). Alongside it, every Vitrum Solutions installation carries FENSA registration and our 10-year CPA insurance-backed installation guarantee.
How much do Origin windows and doors cost?
The price depends on the system, the size and number of panels, the glass specification and the finish. Every Vitrum Solutions supply-and-install quote includes supply, installation, FENSA certification and waste removal, with our 10-year CPA insurance-backed guarantee. Request a free, no-obligation quote online or call 0800 861 1450.
How long do Origin products take?
Origin's popular colours carry its shortest lead times, while special RAL colours and some options take longer. We confirm the programme for your order when you place it, and our survey comes first so every unit is made to your exact openings.
Do you install Origin across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire?
Yes, and across Oxfordshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and West London, including Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Marlow, Windsor, Ascot, Virginia Water, Weybridge, Cobham and Esher. Origin's headquarters is in High Wycombe, close to most of the homes we work in.
