Origin designed the OI-30 to bring the steel look to internal doors in aluminium. A 30 mm aluminium frame with slim glazing divides gives the crisp, black-framed look of a traditional steel screen, while the glass keeps light moving between rooms.
Single, French, fixed or corner
Choose single doors, French doors or fixed glazed screens, and couple them together to build wider runs and corner sets. A fixed screen with a door beside it is the classic way to separate a kitchen from a living or dining space without losing the light.
Your choice of glazing pattern
Horizontal and vertical divides placed to suit each door, a choice of glass, and options including a kickplate, a solid bottom panel and a top light above the door. We confirm the pattern with you before anything is ordered.

What is the Origin OI-30?
The OI-30 is Origin's aluminium internal door system, designed to give the look of a steel-framed screen. It has a 30 mm frame, 40 mm deep, glazed with 4, 6 or 6.8 mm glass, and comes as single doors, French doors, fixed screens and corner sets. It is used to divide kitchens, living rooms, home offices and hallways while keeping the space light.
What sizes can the OI-30 be made in?
Each door leaf can be 300 to 1,000 mm wide and 1,500 to 2,500 mm tall. A single door frame runs from 346 to 1,046 mm wide and a French door frame from 660 to 2,060 mm. Fixed screens go up to 2,000 mm wide each and can be coupled for longer runs, and frames can be up to 3,048 mm tall.
Is the Origin OI-30 a fire door?
No. Origin states that the OI-30 is not currently fire rated. In most homes an internal glazed door does not need to be, but some layouts do require fire doors, for example on the escape route in a house with a floor more than 4.5 m above ground. We check this at survey, and where a fire-rated door is required we tell you before anything is ordered.
What colours and handles are available?
Jet Black is Origin's stock colour, with more than 150 RAL colours available. Handle collections include Signature Knurled, Contemporary and Heritage, in finishes such as Antique Brass, Satin Brass, Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Satin Nickel and Hammered Pewter, with coordinating hinges and door stops. Origin's Essential handle is a no-cost option.
Can the OI-30 have a lock?
Yes. Turn-and-release locks are available for rooms that need privacy, such as a home office or utility room, and keyed locking is available in Matt Black, Satin Brass and Satin Nickel.
