Why Palladio

Monocoque Construction

Palladio doors are moulded as a single-piece fibreglass shell with no seams or weak points. Unlike traditional composite doors with separate skins bonded to a core, Palladio's one-piece shell will not delaminate, warp, or admit water through joints.

65mm GRP Monocoque Slab

65mm fibreglass-reinforced monocoque shell with PUREX0 high-density core (Palladio patent 1766176). Solid moulded fibreglass delivers whole-door U-values of 0.85 W/m²K (solid) and 0.98 W/m²K (glazed) including frame.

PAS 24-Compliant Multi-Point Locking

Multi-point locking engineered to PAS 24 specifications. Default lock spec: 2 hook + 2 shootbolt + 4 roller + deadlatch. 10-point Mantis 3 upgrade available (4 roller cams + 2 linear bolts + 2 hooks + thumb latch + dead bolt). 3-star TS007 cylinder, laminated inner glass pane and reinforced hinge jamb. Secured by Design configurations available (per Palladio dealer records).

Tiered Manufacturer Warranty

12-year warranty on the door slab itself (per Palladio UK dealer terms; brochure's 12-month figure covers hardware only), 5-year warranty on the triple-glazed unit, 1-year warranty on hardware. Covers fibreglass skin integrity, colour stability and structural integrity.

13 Heritage-Stable Colours

Palladio's fibreglass outer surface is UV-stable. The official Palladio collection includes Anthracite, Chartwell Green, Bog Oak, Light Oak, Rosewood, Oxford Blue, Burgundy, White, Cream, Agate Grey, Silver Grey, Red and Blue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Palladio?

Palladio is a premium composite entrance door brand manufactured in Limerick, Ireland using GRP fibreglass-reinforced monocoque construction. Each 65mm door slab carries a PUREX0 high-density core (Palladio patent 1766176). Palladio doors are PAS 24-compliant with multi-point locking as standard (10-point Mantis 3 upgrade available) and carry a 12-year manufacturer warranty on the door slab (per Palladio UK dealer terms; brochure's 12-month figure covers hardware only).

Why do Vitrum Solutions install Palladio exclusively?

Across 200+ installations Palladio has shown zero delamination issues over 10+ year service life, minimal colour fade even on south-facing installations, consistent manufacturing quality, and fewer hardware failures in the critical year 5-10 warranty window. For our coverage area and quality standards, Palladio is the composite door we stand behind.

What sets Palladio apart from other composite doors?

Palladio uses single-piece GRP fibreglass-reinforced monocoque construction (patent 1766176): a 65mm shell with PUREX0 high-density core. Most composite doors in the broader market are built from separate GRP skins bonded to a timber or composite core, which can delaminate over decades. Palladio's monocoque approach eliminates that failure mode. Specifications: 65mm slab, PAS 24-compliant multi-point locking as standard with 10-point Mantis 3 upgrade available, whole-door U-values of 0.85 W/m²K (solid) and 0.98 W/m²K (glazed), Secured by Design accreditation (per Palladio dealer records), 12-year manufacturer warranty on the door slab (per Palladio UK dealer terms; brochure's 12-month figure covers hardware only).

How much does a Palladio composite door cost?

Final price depends on the design (classic, contemporary, glazed), colour, hardware, and any side panels. Every Vitrum Solutions installation includes FENSA certification and a 10-year CPA insurance-backed guarantee. Request a free no-obligation quote: 0800 861 1450.

How long do Palladio doors last?

30+ years with minimal maintenance. The fibreglass outer surface is UV-stable and resists fading, warping and weathering. The monocoque construction eliminates the delamination failure mode that shortens traditional composite door lifespans to 20-25 years.

What colours are available?

Palladio's official collection includes 13 heritage-stable colours: Anthracite, Chartwell Green, Bog Oak, Light Oak, Rosewood, Oxford Blue, Burgundy, White, Cream, Agate Grey, Silver Grey, Red and Blue. Each colour is UV-stable and the door slab carries a 12-year manufacturer warranty.

Do you install Palladio across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire?

Yes. Vitrum Solutions installs Palladio across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and West London. Including Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Marlow, Windsor, Ascot, Virginia Water, Weybridge and all surrounding premium towns.
