French Doors in Witney
French doors are often the most appropriate opening-door style for Witney’s Georgian and period properties, where the classic double-door proportions sit naturally on period rear elevations without the contemporary look of bifolds. Within the Witney Conservation Area, timber-look uPVC or slim aluminium French doors in heritage colours are generally the easiest door style to gain approval for. We install both Cortizo aluminium French doors (built around the Cor 70 family with slim profiles) and Rehau uPVC French doors (TOTAL70 system) across the OX28, OX29 postcodes. Both are PAS 24 security certified with multi-point locking and matching sidelight and toplight options for wider configurations. Our surveyors cover Witney properties close to St Mary's Church Witney and Cogges Manor Farm. Properties inside the Witney Conservation Area need West Oxfordshire District Council approval for replacement glazing. We handle that liaison as part of every quote.
French Doors and Witney Homes
Witney has a heritage town centre with listed Georgian and Victorian buildings within a Conservation Area, alongside extensive 1980s-2010s new-build estates and 1930s-70s suburban housing on the older residential streets.
