Spanish-engineered aluminium sliders. Cor Vision Sliding has a 20 mm central junction, the slimmest in our Cortizo range, and supports sashes up to 2.5 m × 3 m at 320 kg per panel. Cor Vision Plus Sliding has a 25 mm central junction, max sash 4 m × 4 m at up to 400 kg (700 kg motorised) and glazing capacity to 56 mm. Why Cor Vision Sliding
Cor Vision Sliding — slim 20 mm central junction
Cortizo's slimline sliding patio door. A 20 mm central junction between leaves, the slimmest junction in our Cortizo range, keeps the visible mullion narrow. Max sash up to 2.5 m wide × 3 m high at 320 kg per panel with double glazing from 26 to 30 mm, suiting most UK rear-extension and patio openings where the priority is the narrowest sightline.
Cor Vision Plus Sliding — 4 m × 4 m sashes
The premium Cortizo slider. A 25 mm central junction on sashes up to 4 m × 4 m means the closed door reads as a near-frameless panoramic glass plane, with up to 94% glass. Up to 400 kg per panel (700 kg motorised) and glazing capacity from 36 to 56 mm, so triple-glazed Low-E and acoustic-spec laminated combinations both fit. The Cortizo equivalent of structural-glass aesthetics at conventional aluminium-slider cost.
Standard slide function (not lift-and-slide)
Cor Vision Sliding and Cor Vision Plus Sliding are standard sliders — the leaf rolls horizontally on a precision track and the handle operates the lock without lifting the sash. Distinct from the lift-and-slide version of the Cortizo 4700 Sliding Patio, where the handle physically lifts the leaf off the seal before sliding. Cortizo 4900 Sliding HI: in-line sliding windows and doors
The 4900 Sliding HI is Cortizo's in-line sliding window and door system, with a 35 mm interlock, glass up to 36 mm, sashes up to 240 kg at 2.2 m wide × 3 m high and whole-window Uw from 1.2 W/m²K. It runs 2, 3, 4 or 6 sashes, with 3-track and pocket options.
Spanish-engineered, thermally broken
Cortizo's polyamide thermal break separates the cold outside metal from the warm inside metal, and the multi-chamber profile keeps the structure dimensionally stable across UK seasonal temperature swings. Whole-product thermal performance comfortably exceeds Approved Document L (1.4 W/m²K maximum for replacement doors).
PAS 24 on Cor Vision Sliding
Cor Vision Sliding can be specified to PAS 24, with multi-point shootbolt locking, anti-lift devices on the running track, internally-beaded glazing and a laminated inner pane. Cor Vision Plus is not PAS 24 compatible, so where Approved Document Q or an insurer requires PAS 24 we specify Cor Vision. Toughened safety glass is fitted where Approved Document K requires it.

Do you fabricate Cortizo sliding doors or just install them?
Both. Vitrum Solutions is a Cortizo manufacturer, fabricator and installer — we fabricate Cortizo sliding doors in our own Uxbridge workshop, cutting, machining and assembling Cortizo profiles into finished doors, then survey, deliver and fit them with our own team. That means one company and one point of accountability from profile to finished installation, rather than buying made-up units from a third party. What is the difference between Cor Vision Sliding and Cor Vision Plus Sliding?
Cor Vision Sliding has a 20 mm central junction, the slimmer of the two, and supports sashes up to 2.5 m wide × 3 m high at 320 kg per panel with double glazing from 26 to 30 mm. Cor Vision Plus Sliding has a 25 mm central junction and supports sashes up to 4 m × 4 m at up to 400 kg per panel (700 kg motorised), with glazing from 36 to 56 mm so triple glazing and acoustic laminates fit, and whole-window Uw from 0.9 W/m²K against 1.3 W/m²K on Cor Vision. Choose Cor Vision when the priority is the slimmest junction; choose Cor Vision Plus when sash size, triple glazing, thermal performance or motorisation leads the brief.
How does Cortizo Cor Vision compare to Schuco ASS sliding?
Both are premium aluminium sliders. Cortizo Cor Vision Plus has a 25 mm central junction and supports sashes up to 4 m × 4 m at 400 kg (700 kg motorised). Schuco's ASS 77 PD Panorama (lift-and-slide) supports 3200×3000 mm sashes at 500 kg with whole-window Uw under 0.8 W/m²K and a 30 mm central section. Cor Vision Plus has the slimmer central junction; ASS 77 PD has the lift-and-slide mechanism and higher base thermal spec. No — Cor Vision Sliding and Cor Vision Plus Sliding are standard sliders. The leaf rolls horizontally on a precision track and the handle operates the lock. For lift-and-slide (where the handle physically lifts the leaf off the weather seal before sliding) we fit the lift-and-slide version of the Cortizo 4700 Sliding Patio. See /cortizo/lift-and-slide.
Can Cortizo sliding doors be fitted with a flush threshold?
Yes — flush threshold options are available across the Cor Vision range for level (step-free) access between inside and outside. The detail matters for accessibility-priority installations and contemporary projects where the inside floor finish runs visually unbroken to the patio. Talk to us at the survey stage; we'll specify the right threshold detail for your build.
What U-values do Cortizo sliders achieve?
Cortizo's thermally broken profiles deliver excellent whole-product U-values across the residential range. Specific Uw is calculated per opening based on the chosen glazing unit, frame size and configuration at quote stage; comfortably exceeds Approved Document L's 1.4 W/m²K maximum for replacement doors.
Are Cortizo sliders available in any RAL colour?
Yes. Full RAL palette plus the anodised range (champagne, bronze, dark grey, black) and dual-colour inside/outside finishes. On the Cor Vision Plus and 4900 Sliding HI systems the large pane area means the slim aluminium perimeter is what carries the visual identity of the opening. The anodised bronze and dark grey finishes in particular read as architectural metalwork rather than a coated surface. Anodising bonds the colour into the aluminium oxide layer, so it does not fade across decades of exposure.
