Windows & Doors in Eastcote

Eastcote is a suburb in the London Borough of Hillingdon, between Ruislip and Pinner, and it is split between two postal districts: HA4 under the Ruislip post town and HA5 under Pinner. The Metropolitan Railway reached Eastcote in 1904 on its extension from Harrow to Uxbridge, a halt opened in 1906, and the present Eastcote station, on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, was rebuilt in 1939. The old village centre lies around the cricket pitch, Haydon Hall Park and Eastcote House Gardens, whose walled garden, coach house and dovecote were kept when the house was demolished in 1964. In 1930 the builders Comben & Wakeling bought the Hawtrey family's land for the Eastcote Park Estate, and much of Eastcote's housing comes from that inter-war wave of building. Later additions include Pembroke Park, built on the former RAF Eastcote site. We quote across Eastcote from our showroom in Ickenham, a short drive west, and every installation is FENSA registered with a 10-year CPA insurance-backed guarantee, with free, no-obligation quotations.

Property Types in Eastcote

Eastcote is dominated by 1930s semi-detached and detached houses from the Metro-land years, including the Eastcote Park Estate roads such as Pamela Gardens, St Lawrence Drive, Rodney Gardens, Burwood Avenue and The Glen. After the war, Wimpey built houses on Newnham Avenue in 1952 for the local council using its no-fines concrete method, and modern family homes and flats followed at Pembroke Park. Around the village centre a few older houses survive, including Highgrove House, rebuilt in 1879 after a fire.

Popular Installations in Eastcote

Where original steel windows survive on Eastcote's 1930s houses, slim Cortizo Cor 70 Hidden Sash aluminium keeps their narrow lines, and Rehau TOTAL70 casements are the usual full-house uPVC choice, with Palladio composite front doors and Cortizo or Schuco bifold and sliding doors with Korniche roof lanterns on rear extensions. The Eastcote Village, Eastcote Park Estate and Morford Way Conservation Areas each have their own character, so we check the London Borough of Hillingdon's guidance before quoting. Cortizo, Schuco and Rehau units are fabricated at our Uxbridge workshop.
